Fabrication & Materials Used:
- Reception Area:
- Reception Counter: Constructed from MDF/PLY and prepped for a screed finish, featuring a Storm Grey PG Bison credenza drawer unit with Grass hardware and black aluminium finger grip handles.
- Reception Signage: CNC-cut MDF logo on the counter, spray-painted for a sleek look.
- Pergola:
- Solid Spruce beams treated with Rubio Monocoat (pending confirmation) and equipped with 10 custom light sources. Braided cable rigging adds a refined architectural touch.
- Feature Planters:
- A 7m Pine Ply planter with Spruce cladding, Rubio Monocoat finish, and integrated LED strip lighting. Eight additional planter boxes were constructed from Spruce engineered board and framed with powder-coated mild steel.
- Up & Over Table:
- Engineered Spruce board table with a multiplug point station and Rubio Monocoat finish.
- Cabinets & Coffee Station:
- Cabinets made from PG Bison MATT black and Saharah Novolam boards with integrated Grass hardware. The coffee station features floating shelves with LED strip lighting beneath.
- Acoustic & Vanity Elements:
- Acoustic oval pendant panel for sound management, along with solid Spruce vanity slatted screens, powder-coated mild steel tubing, and Grass hardware.
Significance:
The Solarquest project highlights a seamless fusion of aesthetics and functionality. The reception area makes a strong first impression, and custom elements such as the pergola and planter boxes add sophistication and elegance. LED lighting and high-end materials bring warmth and modernity to the space.
